itself in its support for web developers. We offer support in two
different ways: through various software development tools, and
through programming support. We offer developer tools for:
- Electronic form Email processing
- Redirection CGI
- Random file/graphic selection
If you need server-side programming or CGI developed for your
site, OWT is happy to provide that service. You need not
worry that OWT
will steal your customer - we will work directly and confidentially
with you.
Form Tools
OWT offers form processing CGI free to all commercial developers
of sites hosted on our system. These utilities assist in
the transfer of information from web based forms to the customers'
Email. To
obtain documentation and specific coding instructions for
these
tools you
must register with OWT as an authorized
developer.
Secure Transaction Support
While all pages on our secure server must be posted by the
OWT staff we can work with you to include secure forms
on your site.
Forms
are processed normally, via Email, with secure fields transmitted
as asterisks. The secure information is then later retrieved
from our secure web server and cross referenced to a transaction
number.
We also offer a security script that deals with those clients
unable to connect via SSL for whatever reason. Email

Other Tools
OWT offers a variety of other tools and services to provide
virtually any web- or Internet-based service. To obtain
documentation and
specific coding instructions for these tools you must
register with OWT as
an authorized developer. Many of our other powerful tools
are handled entirely by OWT but can integrate with your
development seamlessly.
Services include:
- PHP4: many of our servers support PHP4. OWT does not provide
any development support for PHP however. Email
us to
see if your site can utilize PHP programming.
- File/Graphic randomizer: we offer a system that supports
the random selection of a graphic from a list of
graphics in a
configuration file. This system is free to all commercial
web sites hosted
by
OWT.
- Server-Side Includes: our servers support many server-side
include statements that make HTML much more dynamic.
- Redirection CGI: we offer a choice of redirection techniques
that allow the developer to include "Go Menus" and
other similar implementations on a web site. While
this can be done with JavaScript
a CGI solution is cleaner and more compatible.
