One World Telecommunications is proud to support local and regional nonprofit organizations by offering free or low-cost web site hosting.

Our web hosting offer for non-profit organizations does not include an Internet access account, and other fees may still apply (see below). We cannot provide training in HTML/web design, nor can we provide in-person or telephone support for your web site. OWT offers an extensive online technical support area which we encourage all clients to become familiar with! (note: OWT's support area is accessible by OWT Internet access customers only.)

If your non-profit group already has (or plans to purchase) an OWT Internet access account, either dial-up or DSL/broadband, and does NOT have or want to use a virtual domain (such as yourgroup.org), OWT will offer you free web hosting for your group's web site. LEARN MORE >>

Who will design and maintain our web site?

OWT may be available to design and/or maintain your non-profit web site at our regular rates. However, our business clients will be given priority status on design projects so we cannot promise a timely response to your design project. Please email us for more information about design rates and current availability -- and be sure to provide as much detail about your project as possible.

We've registered a domain. What are OWT's DNS settings so we can list OWT as our host?

If you've registered (or plan to register) a domain yourself, you will need the following information in order to indicate that the domain and web site will be hosted at OWT. The registrar should ask at some point if you wish to "Configure your DNS" or "Manage your Name Servers"; you do, and you will need some or all of this information depending on which registrar you use:

Primary Server: oneworld.owt.com
Primary IP: 204.118.6.2

Secondary Server: dns2.owt.com
Secondary IP: 204.118.6.14

Where should we go to register a domain?

There are dozens of companies offering domain registration online, with costs ranging from $10-$40 per year. As long as the registrar is "ICANN Accredited", you should feel safe registering a domain. Due to difficulties many of our business clients have experienced with Network Solutions / Verisign, we cannot urge you strongly enough to AVOID registering your domain there. Using Network Solutions as your domain registrar is an invitation for future problems.

When we register domains for clients, we don't use the super-cheap companies because they tend to go out of business or be purchased (by companies like Network Solutions). We encourage you to allow OWT to register your group's domain with our domain registrar. There are several benefits:

• It's free. (included in your hosting package)
• OWT can deal with any necessary domain maintenance issues (updating DNS servers, contact information, etc.)
• No domain-related logins and passwords for you to memorize.
• The domain is still registered in your group's name, and your group owns the domain.
