One World Telecommunications is proud
to support local and regional nonprofit organizations by offering
free or low-cost web site hosting.
Our web hosting offer for non-profit organizations does not include
an Internet access account, and other fees may still apply (see
below). We cannot provide training in HTML/web design, nor can
we provide
in-person or telephone support for your web site. OWT offers an
extensive online technical support area which we encourage all
clients to become
familiar with! (note: OWT's support area is accessible by OWT Internet
access customers only.)
Hosting Plan #1: Free hosting for groups that have
OWT Internet access and don't want a unique domain
If your non-profit group already has (or plans to purchase) an
OWT Internet access account, either dial-up or DSL/broadband,
OWT will offer you free web hosting for your group's web site.
Here
are details of this hosting plan:
Space allowed: 20mb
URL: www.owt.com/groupname -- you may choose any name that is
not already being used (if your group wishes to use a distinct
domain
name, please read about Plan #2)
Upload location:
the site will be hosted in the user directory
associated with the group's Internet access
account. This means your webmaster must have
access to the login and password for that
account. Alternatively, if your webmaster
has an OWT Internet access account, the site
can be hosted in his/her user directory and
the webmaster would use his/her own login
and password to access the web server.
Restrictions: your site cannot offer downloadable files (.zip,
.sit, .exe) but you may offer PDF downloads; only one non-profit
web site per Internet access account
Courtesy: as a courtesy, your non-profit web site should credit
One World Telecommunications as your hosting provider. We will
provide a graphic and/or text link for this purpose.
Hosting maintenance: OWT will charge a $20 fee to move the
web site to another user's directory, or otherwise perform
any maintenance
on the hosting account. (This might happen if you have a new
webmaster that cannot access the site's existing upload location,
for example,
and need to have the site files moved to the new webmaster's
user directory.)

If your group already has Internet access with OWT, and would
like to setup your Non-profit Hosting Account, please email
info@owtweb.com with the following information:
- Name, address, phone, and fax number of your organization
- Name and email address of your webmaster
- The URL you wish us to create (www.owt.com/yourname)
- Location where the web site files have been uploaded. (Please
upload the site to the user directory prior to contacting us.)
