One World Telecommunications

organizations by offering free or low-cost web
site hosting.
Our web hosting offer for non-profit organizations
does not include
an Internet access account, and other fees may
still apply (see below). We cannot provide training
in HTML/web design, nor can we provide in-person
or telephone support for your web site. OWT offers
an extensive online
technical support area which we encourage
all clients to become familiar with! (note: OWT's
support area is accessible by OWT Internet access
customers only.)
Hosting Plan #2: Low-cost hosting
for non-OWT customers and groups wanting virtual
domain hosting
If your non-profit group does not have an OWT
Internet access account, or if your group wants
to have virtual domain hosting (www.yourgroup.org,
for example), OWT offers low-cost for your group's
web site. Here are details of this hosting plan:
Space allowed: 25mb
URL: www.yourgroup.org
(or similar)
Upload location:
OWT will create a virtual server specific
to your web site where files may be uploaded.
You will have a distinct username and password
to access this virtual server, and will not
have to give out anyone's email login/password.
If your webmaster changes, OWT will issue
a new password at no charge, up to two times
per calendar year.
Restrictions: your
site cannot offer downloadable files (.zip,
.sit, .exe) but you may offer PDF downloads
Courtesy: as a courtesy,
your non-profit web site should credit One
World Telecommunications as your hosting provider.
We will provide a graphic and/or text link
for this purpose.
Costs: $99 for your
first year, which includes: the registration
or transfer of one domain*; domain and hosting
setup; web hosting for one year. After the
first year, an annual fee of $39 will be charged,
which includes free domain renewal (provided
the domain is registered with OWT's registrar;
if not, your organization is responsible for
paying renewal fees directly to the domain
registrar you use).
*additional domains are billed at our standard
rates: $25/year for registration and a $25
per domain setup fee

Getting Started
If your group is ready to setup a Non-Profit Hosting
Account, please email info@owtweb.com
with the following information:
- Name, address, phone, and fax number of your
organization
- The domain you wish us to register or transfer
(suggestion: send a list of 3-4 names prioritized
so we can register an alternative if your
first choice is not available)
- Name and email address of the main contact
person for your web site and domain
- Name and email address of your webmaster
- Is your webmaster using Microsoft Front Page
to create the web site? Do you need to be
hosted on our Front Page Server? (space is
limited and may not be available)
- Name and contact information of your billing
contact and instructions for billing (mailed
invoice, credit card via phone, etc.)
Payment
The $99 first year fee must be paid in advance.
After we receive your email request, we will contact
you for billing details. After the $99 has been
paid, we will register (or transfer) your domain
and create your hosting account. |
