One of our most loyal clients needed a redesign and upgrade of their web site, which had used the same look and same tools for close to five years. Puterbaugh Farms is a family-owned, rural business, and our design reflects that aesthetic. They use the web site to sell both hops and cherries online, so we gave them two separate designs -- green for Hops and red for Cherries.

In addition to the design, the site uses many OWT Tools, including our database software (for news, products, and links), our file management system, and our shopping cart with secure ordering system.

We recently upgraded this web site for one of our earliest commerce clients. The project involved developing a more modern look and feel to the site, as well as upgrading the commerce system (shopping cart, products database, administration backend, etc.) to current standards. PenworksPlus.com is the kind of site we're talking about when we promote the idea of "simple" and "elegant" web design. It's easy on the eyes and easy to use, allowing customers who want fine, wooden pens and pencils an enjoyable experience as they shop.

Quite possibly the most colorful web site we've ever done! Castle Catering came to us with a strong brand image and a set of beautiful photographs from local events they've catered. We took those and combined them with detailed menus, information about possible event venues, and online forms for direct contact with potential customers to make a strong small business web site where you can practically taste the food as you look at it!

Distinctive Properties

Distinctive Properties showcases our Real Estate database capabilities, and this project was recently upgraded to include a new feature, "My Distinctive." This is a service which allows users to create accounts on the web site and, in doing so, gain access to a variety of tools that makes the home buying experience more enjoyable. "My Distinctive" also allows for greater communication between agents and clients, all through the web site interface.

OWT's programming team has also written a custom application that accesses and imports the master MLS database, then reformats the information for a unique presentation on Distinctive Properties' web site.

OWT recently redesigned this web site for our New York-based stage drapery and supply company client. The design we did is actually very close to the site's previous appearance and layout; what we did was convert the old design into a more user-friendly and search engine-friendly web site. The new site loads much more quickly than its predecessor and offers quicker access to the content users are seeking. By emphasizing text links, updated news, and rewritten copy, we were able to make the site more search engine friendly, too.

OWT technology also powers the back end of this site, allowing our client instant, 24-hour access to updating almost any section of the web site. More than a dozen databases are integrated into the site.

We believe the Peak Performance Systems web site is one of our finest examples of a small-business web site developed with a "simple, attractive, user-friendly and search engine-friendly" interface (see our Design Philosophy). The focus here is on the terrific content our client provided, and the design serves that content. All we had at the start of this project was the company logo and the content. OWT researched and selected complementary, eye-pleasing colors and built an easy-to-use site structure to match the design.

Tri-City Americans

Similar to the Bookwalter Winery situation, the Tri-City Americans recently updated their logo and image. We developed an entirely new web site using the new style elements (logos, fonts, other images) that matched the team's more youthful, energetic image and had the web site ready for launch in conjunction with a fan and media event to unveil the new image. Amshockey.com features dozens of OWT databases integrated into the site, allowing team staff to manage some sections of the site, and a dedicated Americans fan to manage other areas of the site for the team.
